2 days after Sheldon's commitment to Christ, God inspired him with the words and music to the song "I'm Free" which is the title cut of an LP recorded while serving LIFE plus 60 years in prison. I'm Free is likewise the title of his first book which tells his story, now available on Amazon.
“When your best thinking gets you into a situation that your best thinking can’t get you out of, you are literally at wit’s end. It’s time to make a decision.”
"Winning and losing are both on purpose. It's time to take a shot at your success. I can’t guarantee you will hit bull’s eye every time; I can guarantee, however, you will miss 100% of the shots you don’t take."
"You are always on the verge of a breakdown or a breakthrough. The pressure for each is identical. You can stand through it or crumble underneath. Your decision in this dilemma determines the outcome you receive.“
"The choice is ALWAYS yours!"

We aim high and miss.
But instead, we aim low and HIT!
Or even worse,
We aim at nothing,
And hit nothing dead center!"

I'm Free by clicking the button below. This is part of the introduction to the book I'm Free which describes an unforgettable night in Detroit when death was in the air and blood was everywhere. The book follows as the true story moves from drugs, crime, violence, and death, to prison, redemption and transformation. To God be the glory.
While serving LIFE plus 60 years in prison, I realized acknowledged I had failed at life. I began to eliminate the worn-out excuses. And when I turned to Jesus I saw myself for who I was. This prompted me to do 2 things: 1) to read every book I could find. And 2) to set long-term and short-term goals. It seemed absurd considering my prison sentence. I adopted the CANEI concept, (Continuous And Never-Ending Improvement) and to see myself standing before the masses telling of what great things God had done in me. FAST FORWARD. Every one of my goals were achieved.
